Automatic Loading and Unloading System (ALUS®)

The Lyovac® production lyophilizers (freeze dryers) which have been equipped with Automatic Loading and Unloading Systems (ALUS®) are protected by a worldwide patent. Since 1989, we have held a leading position in the development of automatic loading and unloading systems which operate without trays. Vial sizes from 2 ml up to 100 ml can be processed. The advantages of these systems are:

• 100% utilization of the charging area, and thus, of the plant capacity.
• Lyophilizers (freeze dryers) can be validated and meet GMP guidelines and Class 100 sterility requirements.
• High profitability by minimizing malfunction of the fully automatic product handling system.
• No risk of product contamination by reducing the clean room personnel down to one operator.
