GEA Liquid Processing is an engineering organization. The core expertise of GEA Liquid Processing can be condensed to heat transfer, mass transfer, cleaning (CIP), containment, chemistry, material science, and controls & automation. All our equipment, process units, systems, solutions, and complete processing plants can be attributed to our engineering expertise in these core disciplines. We apply these technologies to supply the most efficient and reliable process systems and plants available. GEA Liquid Processing engineers understand and master their clients' processes and help refine them. By constantly working to improve these processes and components, they add value. So users improve their profitability rather than bearing unnecessary costs. The employees of GEA Liquid Processing see themselves as value-adding partners. This is why engineering capabilities always form an integral part of GEA Liquid Processing. Sustainable value can only be created by innovative product differentiation and superior technology. We are proud to adhere to our company slogan "Engineering Excellence".

Note 1: Our company slogan has changed over the years. Here is a few examples: "Factory of Engineers" (Tuchenhagen); "Leading Technologies. Individual Solutions."; and "GEA - Global Engineering Alliance". We have now settled on the slogan "Engineering Excellence".

Note 2: Heat transfer is the transition of thermal energy from a hotter object to a cooler object. When an object or fluid is at a different temperature than its surroundings or another object, transfer of thermal energy, also known as heat transfer (or heat exchange) occurs in such a way that the body and the surroundings reach thermal equilibrium. Heat transfer always occurs from a higher-temperature object to a cooler temperature one as described by the second law of thermodynamics or the Clausius statement. Where there is a temperature difference between objects in proximity, heat transfer between them can never be stopped; it can only be slowed. Mass transfer is the transfer of mass from high concentration to low concentration. The phrase is commonly used in engineering for physical processes that involve molecular and convective transport of atoms and molecules within physical systems. Mass transfer includes both fluid flow and separation unit operations. It is important to note that in molecular transport, heat, or mass there are many similarities. Materials science or materials engineering is an interdisciplinary field involving the properties of matter and its applications to various areas of science and engineering. This science investigates the relationship between the structure of materials at atomic or molecular scales and their macroscopic properties. It includes elements of applied physics and chemistry. Process engineering focuses on the design, operation and maintenance of process manufacturing activities. Process engineering found in a vast range of industries, such as the beverage, brewery, nutritional, chemical, petrochemical, mineral processing, material, information technology, food and pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries. Process engineering also involves developing new processes, project engineering, electrical engineering, and troubleshooting.
