GEA Liquid Processing supplies industrial and cGMP process solutions for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, personal care and household care production facilities.

GEA Liquid Processing combines all GEA process integration activities and specific GEA "Unit Operations" that are central to many bio-pharmaceutical and other hygienic processes. GEA unit operations are modular and supplied in accordance with current good manufacturing practice (GMP) guidelines and approval procedures, and meet or exceed ASME-BPE guidelines. There is full recognition of the need to document, particularly to support validation and IQ/OQ/PQ programs. True to our philosophy - listening, understanding and finding joint solutions - we develop customer-orientated solutions from the planning phase up to the construction and automation of turnkey plants and process lines; which conform to stringent hygienic requirements.

Project Management for Liquid Process Engineering Projects

We are process integrators. From the initial concept through to commissioning, handover and after-sales support, we operate as a single-source for the design and build of your process plant for liquid production. Whether you are in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, personal care, chemical, cosmetic, or household care sector we have the equipment and the technical know-how you need.

Pre-project services include:

  • Initial project planning at the concept stage to obtain business approval at Board level for capital expenditure;
  • Preparation of budgets;
  • Preparation of Request for Quotation documentation to allow comparative cost analysis against a defined URS including:
    • Preliminary engineering calculations ensuring correct operation of plant,
    • Layouts & P&ID's,
    • Schedules,
    • Process, electrical, controls and automation engineering specifications,
    • Equipment and hardware specifications,
    • Price Breakdown.

Once the contract is awarded, as turnkey providers we will:

  • Prepare detailed engineering designs and specifications;
  • Procure Manage and install all equipment from preferred sub-suppliers and sub-contractors;
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety functions and carry out risk analysis on design, HAZOP (hazard & operability) and training on request;
  • Commission, validate and handover the plant according to customers URS;
  • Prepare and issue O&M Manuals, equipment lists and validation documentation;
  • Plan after-sales and maintenance programs to ensure reliability and efficiency throughout the plant's service life.
